I hope you've been enjoying iMoot 2014.
After iMoot last year, the wonderful team at Blindside Networks (BSN) worked for a couple of months to convert all the BBB sessions into video files that were then released by Pukunui on YouTube. BSN added a lot of code to BBB that has meant this year the recordings are generated automatically and usually available within an hour after a session has finished.
While this is obviously a great advantage if you have missed a session and want to watch it later, it also means that you can save the videos. This raises several issues:
1. The screencast videos have been provided from Blindside Networks to Pukunui as part of the sponsorhip arrangement of iMoot and thus remain the property of Pukunui;
2. The videos are trimmed and then released on YouTube at a later date, The delay is so that iMoot attendees get the first opportunity to watch any recordings;
3.The videos are released under a CC BY-NC-ND license (unless requested otherwise). If you wish to use them for purposes not covered under that license then you will need to seek the permission of Pukunui and the Authors/Presenters;
4. In some instances presenters have requested that the recordings not be released publicly but remain within the IMoot community only. This may be for a variety of reasons, but we wish to respect the Presenters requests.
The iMoot team ask that all attendees be mindful of these points when dealing with the recordings.
Shane (on behalf of the iMoot team)
