What are your favorite plugins?

Do you use Moodle plugins, if so what are your favorites (Moodle extensions rather than 3rd party integration)? I think mine would be:

  • Poodll
  • Grid format
  • lightbox gallery (now maintained by netspot)

Grid format, Collapsed Topics, Shoelace, Shoehorn... but then a little biased ;)

I'm bias too (as Waikato maintain this) but have to say the Dialogue Module - http://docs.moodle.org/27/en/Dialogue_module

This provides personal one to one communication that stays with the course - rather than PM that is system based or email which is outside of Moodle.

I test out anything that looks like it could benefit our training needs.

I run into some issues with great plugins, given our very specialized network setups, however here are the ones that have either traveled well from Moodle 1.9 or are new and stable for me in 2.5 the version we will stay with for a while.

Cheers

Hi Dorothy,

If you are using Moodle for training you may want to take a look at this "learning plan" plugin:

https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=block_learning_plan

I have not tried it but it looks pretty good.

Hi Jeremy

Thanks, it does look good. I'll try it in the test site.

I suppose my faves would be Poodll (which I learned about at iMoot2013), Group Choice, Certificate and Dialogue.
